There are no strict age restrictions for water excursions on catamarans or SUP boards, and no special physical training is required; however, children may only participate if accompanied by a parent.
We’ll make sure everyone is comfortable: we’ll provide a safety briefing, help you choose the right gear and the best route, and give you comfortable life jackets and lightweight paddles so you can take your kids along. But remember, water activities are inherently risky, so assess your abilities and don’t neglect safety precautions.
Before your trip, don’t forget to apply sunscreen, wear a hat, bring water, and bring a good mood.

Safety rules | An integral part of the rental agreement

The Rules for Using Rental Equipment (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules,” “Safety Rules,” or “Terms of Use”) have been developed to ensure the safe use of Sunday Village rental equipment.
The Rules constitute an integral part of the Rental Agreement, available on the Sunday Village website: https://sunday-village.com.ua/
Users of rental equipment are exclusively adults who have been identified by their personal data in the Rental Equipment Issuance Log and have completed safety training (hereinafter referred to as the “User”), which is an appendix to the Rental Agreement.
1. General obligations of the user and their passengers
1. The User is personally responsible for themselves and for any persons (passengers) who will be on the rental vehicle (or vehicles) issued to a single User.
The User and their passengers agree to:
1.1. Comply with traffic laws, rules of conduct on the water, Ukrainian legislation, and the provisions of the Rental Agreement, taking into account the type of rental vehicle.
1.2. Listen carefully to the safety briefing (the User agrees to sign the Logbook to confirm this), receive information about the specific features of using the rental vehicle, and immediately comply with all instructions from Sunday Village staff regarding the use of rental vehicles.
1.3. Put on life jackets before going out onto the pier, and helmets before boarding ATVs or bicycles; if necessary, ask a Sunday Village employee to check that all straps are properly fastened.
1.4. Board rental vehicles only after receiving permission from a Sunday Village employee, in accordance with the number of seats; do not overload the rental vehicle beyond its specified passenger capacity.
1.5. Do not remove your protective gear until you return to shore or until you have finished your ride; do not consume alcoholic beverages before or while using rental equipment; do not smoke while on rental equipment.
1.6. Do not run on the pier; wear comfortable shoes and clothing; in sunny weather, wear a hat and use sunscreen; bring drinking water with you.
1.7. Do not leave children or elderly persons unattended; accompany them, holding their hand on the pier if necessary, when boarding or disembarking from a catamaran or other rental equipment; be responsible for their personal safety.
1.8. Do not damage rental equipment: it is prohibited to step on the woven seat or backrest of the catamaran, intentionally overturn a quad bike, deflate tires, apply stickers, draw with a marker, etc.; It is prohibited to ram anything with the rental equipment, transfer from one catamaran to another while sailing, or rock the catamaran.
1.9. Rules for the catamaran: do not enter beach areas or approach people who are swimming; monitor the catamaran’s course; do not dive into the water from the catamaran or swim from the catamaran; do not moor at undeveloped shores, reeds, or snags; do not pick aquatic plants (water lilies, lotuses, etc.); do not leave the pier’s line of sight; face waves exclusively with the bow or stern of the catamaran; follow the rules for the separation of watercraft.
1.10. You may only disembark from the catamaran after it has been moored to the pier and with the permission and assistance of a Sunday Village instructor.
1.11. Upon completion of your rental, return the equipment to a Sunday Village employee in a clean condition, free of damage, debris, and any personal belongings of the User and their guests.
1.12. If weather conditions deteriorate (winds exceeding 10 m/s, waves over 0.5 m, visibility less than 500 m, thunderstorms), you must return to the Sunday Village rental location as soon as possible; if this is not possible, pull over to a safe place and immediately call Sunday Village staff for assistance: (066) 605 15 55.
1.13. When operating an ATV, do not deviate from the designated route: The user agrees to follow the route led by the escort (a designated Sunday Village employee).
1.14. ATVs are provided exclusively to adults with a valid driver’s license. Minors are PROHIBITED from operating an ATV. Minors may ride on an ATV only as passengers accompanied by an adult User. The User is responsible for the safety of the child passenger, including the proper wearing of a helmet and compliance with safety rules.
1.15. Comply with the other provisions of the Rental Agreement.
1.16. Rules for SUP boards, kayaks, and boats: Life jackets must be worn at all times while on the water; do not go out on the water alone without consulting a Sunday Village staff member; do not stray out of sight of the pier; follow the rules for sharing the water with other vessels; in case of capsizing – hold on to the craft and signal for help by shouting “HELP!” or raising your hand.
2. Acknowledgment of the terms
2. The User confirms that he or she and his or her passengers have read and agree to comply with the Terms of Use for Rental Vehicles before using any rental vehicle (Safety Rules).
3. Medical contraindications
3. The User certifies that he and his passengers have no medical contraindications for using the rental vehicle.
For the User’s information: the use of rental vehicles is not recommended for persons:
– under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or toxic substances;
– with vestibular system disorders (dizziness, impaired coordination);
– who are pregnant (for watercraft and ATVs);
– who have undergone musculoskeletal surgery (during the rehabilitation period);
– with cardiovascular diseases in the acute stage;
– with open wounds or bandages on the limbs (for watercraft).
Sunday Village is not liable for any harm caused by medical contraindications of the User or their passengers that were concealed from the staff.
4. Right to rent multiple items
4. The User has the right to rent one or more rental items.
5. Inspection of the item before use
5. The User is obligated to personally inspect the rental item before use and independently verify the serviceability of the received equipment and accessories.
6. Preservation of the rental vehicle
6. The User agrees to take all necessary measures to preserve the integrity of the rental vehicle and is liable for any loss or damage to it.
7. Compensation for damages
7. The User agrees to reimburse Sunday Village for the cost of repairing damage caused by the User’s negligence or intentional actions, or for the cost of a lost rental item. The amount of damages is determined based on the Inspection Report (Section 5.9 of the Rental Agreement) and Sunday Village’s current price list.
8. Return of the vehicle
8. The User agrees to return the rental vehicle to Sunday Village in a condition no worse than when it was received (including accessories and equipment).
9. Right to terminate the agreement
9. The User has the right to terminate the Agreement at any time by notifying the Sunday Village employee responsible for rentals and returning the rental vehicle. In this case, the rental fee is recalculated proportionally to the actual time of use in accordance with Article 790 of the Civil Code of Ukraine. The difference between the amount paid and the cost of actual use shall be refunded to the User.
10. Intended use
10. The user must use the rental vehicle for its intended purpose, must not repair it on their own, and must not make any modifications to its structure.
11. Actions to take when an air raid alarm is sound
11. When an air raid alarm is sounded:
– Immediately stop using the rental equipment.
– Watercraft (catamarans, kayaks, SUP boards, boats) — immediately return to shore at the pier.
– ATVs and bicycles — return them to the rental station area.
– Proceed to the nearest shelter on the Sunday Village premises (the first floor of the Sunday Apart Hotel building) in accordance with the evacuation plan.
– The duration of the alarm is not included in the rental time and is not charged to the User.
– Sunday Village reserves the right to suspend rental services for the duration of the alarm and for 30 minutes after the all-clear is announced.

You don’t need any special skills. When we provide the equipment, our instructors will show you how to sit or stand properly, hold the paddle, and steer the boat or SUP board.

Yes, they are included. Equipment is provided only as complete sets. If you want to rent a boat, the set includes: a boat, a paddle, and a life jacket. If you rent a SUP board, the set includes: the SUP board itself, a paddle, and a life jacket (optional).
